An American woman hit the jackpot twice within three years

Virginia resident, American Gayle Guichard, was lucky twice in the lottery within three years. At first she won $100,000, and this year she won the main prize in the lottery – $1 million.

It is known that the woman purchased the lucky ticket at the Race Way gas station. The scratch card was only $20. Gayle asked the gas station store owner to check the ticket, and it turned out to be a winner.

When she found out about her win, she started screaming, and everyone around her was screaming too. Hearing the noise in the store, passers-by came running to find out what was going on. But the woman decided not to tell anyone about the win, so she stopped screaming and replied that nothing had happened.

The American received one of the two main prizes launched at that time in the lottery, which began operating in November last year. And in 2021, she won another drawing, which was dedicated to the New Year holidays.

She had two options for receiving the winnings. The first is the entire amount in equal parts over 30 years. The second is an instant payout of $571,000, which is what remains of the winnings after taxes. The woman chose the second option. And the store received a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
