An American, a resident of Twin City, was convicted of illegal bookmaking activities. He organized it through TikTok.
The man, Blake Fitzgerald, 40, received two years probation. While playing in a casino, he placed bets on viewers’ orders through his streams. He arranged them through a popular social network. The man pleaded guilty in full to the crime of running a remote bookmaking business for approximately four months in 2023.
Gambler was given two years probation and must pay a fine of $488. In addition, he will have to undergo a diagnosis of gambling addiction in order not to further commit similar crimes related to gambling over the next two years. If the player complies with all court-ordered conditions throughout the entire probation period, then his violation will be classified as a misdemeanor.
