Woman won money at a casino but was given a free lunch instead

A rather unusual incident occurred in the USA. The woman hit the jackpot in the casino, which was supposed to be one of the biggest, but she never received her money.

The incident occurred at the American Resorts World Casino. The woman was playing on one of the machines. At one point, it displayed the prize amount of 42,949,672 million dollars. To receive the prize, the administration told her to come the next day.

When the woman came to the casino, she was only offered lunch instead of winnings. Thus, according to the decision of the New York State Gaming Commission, it turned out that the machine on which the woman was playing was faulty. So she only won $2.25. The device came with a caveat that “malfunctions will void all payouts and games.” Thus, the commission stated that, under the law, a woman will only receive what she actually won.

As a result, she was given a free lunch, which she was able to take home with her.
